Kristine Fraser RN, MN, BN, CNCCP(C) is the Regional Paediatric Professional Practice Consultant with the Maternal, Newborn, Child & Youth Network (MNCYN) in partnership with London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC) in London, Ontario. She received her Nursing Diploma in 2001, Bachelor of Nursing Degree in 2012, and Master of Nursing with a teaching focus in 2018. With more than 23 years of nursing experience, Kristine specializes in paediatric critical care and has maintained her certification in Paediatric Critical Care Nursing with the Canadian Nurses Association (CNA) since 2009. Prior to joining MNCYN in 2018, Kristine worked at McMaster Children's Hospital in Hamilton, San Diego Children's and Loma Linda Children's Hospitals, and Kaiser Permanente in San Jose, California. Subsequently, she returned to Ontario and joined Chidlren's Hospital LHSC in the Paediatric Critical Care Unit for nearly a decade. Upon joining MNCYN, Kristine developed the Regional Paediatric Orientation© (RPO) Program, an online paediatric nursing course for regional partners. Additionally, Kristine authors the Paediatric Review, a monthly newsletter focusing on paediatric topics and current best practice and standard of care guidelines. Kristine actively participates in various committees and initiatives, including the Children’s Hospital, LHSC’s Continuing Medical Education (CME) Committee and the Paediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM) Refresher Day Scientific Planning Committee. She is a member of the TREKK Knowledge Mobilization Advisory Committee, the Provincial Council for Maternal-Child Health (PCMCH) Asthma Expert Panel, and participated on the Ontario Health West Clinical Quality Initiative working group, where she was involved in creating a High-Flow Nasal Cannula (HHFNC) Oxygen Therapy algorithm for the region. Kristine is a registered NRP and ACoRN Instructor with the Canadian Paediatric Society, as well as a PALS Instructor with the Heart & Stroke Foundation. In her free time, Kristine enjoys travelling and recently enjoyed a trip to Italy with her family.
