Phil Murphy, MSc is the Manager of Clinical Epidemiology, Program Data & Quality; NL Congenital Anomalies Surveillance System; CHIRPP with Eastern Health’s Children’s and Women’s Health Program. He received his undergraduate and graduate degrees in Psychology and Behavioural Neuroscience respectively from Memorial University of Newfoundland (MUN). During 2005-2019, Phil was the Clinical Epidemiologist with the Perinatal Program Newfoundland and Labrador (PPNL) where he primarily managed the Provincial Perinatal Surveillance Program and High Risk Follow-Up Database, which provides clinical decision and research support to perinatal health stakeholders. He also has an appointment as a professional associate with the Disciplines of Obstetrics / Gynaecology and Paediatrics, at Memorial University of Newfoundland and is a member of the Public Health Agency of Canada's Canadian Perinatal Surveillance System Expert Advisory Committee.
