Kayla Esser is a clinical research manager at SickKids Hospital in Toronto, Ontario, and a graduate student in the epidemiology program at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto. She is a Leong Centre Studentship Award holder. Her research aims to improve care for children with medical complexity and their caregivers by providing mental health support to caregivers and facilitating comprehensive health care transitions.
