Rebecca Earle is a Registered Nurse from Nova Scotia with a deep commitment to transforming healthcare across the continuum of care. As a trusted leader in pediatric nursing, she has built a reputation for leading with passion, integrity, and a forward-thinking approach to improving health systems. Over the course of two decades at IWK Health, Rebecca held senior roles in advanced practice nursing, research, and operations management, contributing significantly to the organization’s growth and innovation. Now, as part of Nova Scotia Health, she leads a strategic initiative to strengthen the health workforce, working closely with government, employers, and system partners to create impactful solutions.
Rebecca’s influence extends nationally as well. From 2021 to 2023, she served as President of the Canadian Association of Pediatric Nurses (CAPN), using her platform to advocate for child health and collaborate with Children’s Healthcare Canada on numerous initiatives. During her tenure, CAPN introduced evidence-based pediatric nursing standards and launched a national certification exam in partnership with the Canadian Nurses Association.
A strong advocate for equitable access to care, Rebecca co-founded the Maritime Children’s Hospice Society in 2022. This non-profit registered charity, is working toward opening Atlantic Canada’s first children’s hospice, providing specialized palliative care and respite services for families. The hospice aims to be a center of excellence for pediatric palliative care, research, and education, helping to build capacity across the region.
Rebecca holds a Master’s Degree in Nursing from McGill University, is certified in Pediatric Nursing by the Canadian Nurses Association and is a PROSCI-certified Change Management Practitioner. Outside of work, Rebecca enjoys spending time at the baseball field, rugby pitch and hockey rink with her family. She is a daughter, wife, and proud mother of three boys and a Labradoodle named Bauer.
