Amy has worked in health care for 24 years. She completed her bachelor's in nursing from Memorial University in 2000 and completed a master's degree in nursing from Dalhousie University in 2008. She has worked in senior management since 2009 as a Director and has held numerous portfolios. Since 2019 she has been the director for the children and women's health program at the former Eastern Health, now NLHS Eastern Urban Zone, where she oversees the operations of the Janeway Children's Health and Rehabilitation Center along with the birthing suite, gynecology and obstetrics. Amy has a passion for improving health care services for vulnerable populations and is committed to lifelong learning. Amy is a member of the Board of Directors for Children's Healthcare Canada and she also holds the CHE designation from the College of Health Leaders.
