Jen Cook, Primary Care Network Manager (PCN)
Jen started off her career in Social Work supporting individuals, families and communities who were facing multiple barriers in accessing various systems. She carries the vast knowledge she has gained through her 12 years of leadership experience and 20 years of diverse front-line Social Work practice to her current role as PCN Manager in Mission BC. This knowledge of front-line struggles in supporting communities has helped her to move towards a system level analysis to facilitate systems change of ensure that the delivery of primary care services are patient centered and accessible.
Her collaborative spirit and ability to bring people and partners together was one of the factors that contributed to the launch of the Leq’á:mel, Mission, Sunny Hill project. Through partnerships that Jen had fostered, community members were able to approach her to share challenges that were facing community members and focus on creative solutions.
Jen loves working in Mission BC. As a community that is neither urban or rural, the small town feel of Mission allows for creativity, innovation and a “small but mighty” attitude.
