Kimberly Parsons is a registered nurse at the Janeway Children’s Hospital. She graduated with a Bachelor of Nursing from the Western Regional School of Nursing, Memorial University. Kim holds the position of Provincial Vice President of the Registered Nurses Union Newfoundland and Labrador.
Kim has worked the majority of her career working in the PICU at Stollery Children’s Hospital, Edmonton and the Janeway hospital, Newfoundland Labrador. She is currently the Coordinator of the Cleft and Craniofacial program within NLHS.
Kim has long been an advocate for equitable working conditions that enables the delivery of high-quality care. She began her union activism as a shop steward, progressing to a branch executive role before serving 6 years as a provincial board member. She then became the elected Provincial Vice President for RNU
Kim sits on countless committees and working groups for the government and hospital. Kim recognizes the strength in collective power for demanding accountability from government for frontline workers, and patient health needs in this changing political landscape.
In her spare time Kim can be found figure skating, playing soccer or cheering for her 2 boys at their events.
