One in four Canadians is a caregiver today. Despite the prevalence of care in all aspects of Canadian society, the policy response from all orders of government is woefully inadequate. CCCE is working to bring these issues to the top of policy agendas across the country, starting with pushing the federal government to develop a National Caregiving Strategy. Work on this strategy has begun, following the federal government’s announcement in Budget 2025. CCCE’s executive director, Liv Mendelsohn, and director of policy and government relations, James Janeiro, will be joined by Empowered Kids Ontario’s Jennifer Churchill to for a session where attendees will be able to share their input on a National Caregiving Strategy.
