Emily Synnott is a Certified Child Life Specialist and Registered Early Childhood Educator with over a decade of experience supporting children, youth, and families through a variety of life’s challenges. She has experience working in children’s hospitals, community hospitals, and non-profit settings. Currently, she is the Child Life Specialist at Trillium Health Partners in Mississauga, Ontario. Emily is the president of the Canadian Association of Child Life Leaders, and in that role serves as the Canadian Liaison on the Board for the Association of Child Life Professionals.

Emily is passionate about pediatric pain management, having seen firsthand the long-lasting impact of poorly managed pain in children. Driven by a desire to empower families and fellow health care professionals with simple solutions for pain management based on the latest research and best practice, Emily pursued training in knowledge translation through SickKids Learning Institute. She looks forward to continuing to engage in knowledge translation practices to bring greater awareness to pain solutions for those who would benefit most..
